Your Choices Matter – Every day of our lives we are faced with hundreds of choices – some small and some huge. Many people would prefer not to have to make any choices. They would rather take the easy road and follow the crowd. Others find satisfactions in making wrong choices thinking that they will not face any major consequences. To live an intentional and a productive life, we must plan to choose and choose our plans daily. We must decide how we are going to spend our time. Author, speaker and business leader Nido Qubein stated, “Whether you are a success or failure in life has little to do with your circumstances; it has much more to do with your choices.”

After all we can do there can be times when it can be difficult to know what choices to make. When you face these tough moments, here are a couple of suggestions:

1)    Know there is a lifeline you can use that will connect you with God, your perfect Heavenly Father. He knows everything. He knows the right choice for you and the right time for that choice. But you need to know how to communicate with Him. He will not force you and you can’t force Him. As you align your will with His will, you can have peace of mind as you are making decisions with His help. This lifeline is caller prayer.

2)    There are great men and women in this life that can serve as advisors. You need to identify them and take time to establish a genuine relationship with them. These people can be members of your family, friends, religious leaders, and business leaders. If you seek the help of Heavenly Father in selecting these people, you can have the confidence that you will be led to be mentored by great and honest people. People that can guide you through difficult times.

Even when you have God and great people in your corner, you still have the responsibility to choose for yourself. You are born with the gift of agency that you need to preserve in this life by making honorable choices. Choose this day the great choices you are going to make in your life. Pray daily to have the courage and the discipline to make the right choices. If you fail, recalculate, re-route, and keep going.
